Sonisphere Headliners Announced

Sonisphere have announced the two headliners for their Knebworth festival next year.

Slipknot and Biffy Clyro will headline the festival which takes place next summer.

Municipal Waste Cancel European Tour

Due to a family emergency, Municipal Waste have had to cancel their upcoming european dates, including the UK’s Sonisphere festival.

More Bands Added To Sonisphere

Sonisphere have added more bands to their festival in Knebworth.

Skindred, Sylosis, 65DaysOfStatic, Black Spiders, Audrey Horne, Throats, March of the Raptors, Slaves To Gravity, The Casino Brawl, The Boys with the Xray Eyes, After The Ordeal, Blitz Kids, Fei Comodo, Cars on Fire, Lower Than Atlantis, The Xcerts, Little Fish and Eddie Clark’s Fastway have all been added.

Joey Belladonna Rejoining Anthrax?

The rumour circulating the web right now is that Joey Belladonna will be rejoining Anthrax, just in time for the big four Sonisphere dates.

Supposedly Belladonna was spotted at a Fozzy concert in New York with Charlie Benante and Frank Bello. Also, on the Swedish Sonisphere website, on the Anthrax page, it says:

“Who is singing? Let’s say this: His initials are J.B. And he has one goal: a mosh, for everyone.”

That could mean John Bush also, but Belladonna did sing on Caught In A MOSH.

There are two ways to look at this story, Belladonna was a great singer back in the day, and recorded some of Anthrax timeless thrash classics, such as Among The Living and Persistence Of Time, but on their last reunion tour, his voice wasn’t up to scratch. John Bush, on the other hand, is flawless and since performing with Anthrax again, there has been nothing but positive feedback.

Personally, I think Belladonna is the wrong choice, but it would fit in with the big four tour.

Sonisphere Announce New Bands

The UK Sonisphere festival has added some new bands and a new stage.

CKY and Sabaton have been announced as well as the Strongbow Bowtime Bar, which is for up and coming bands, including:

All Forgotten, Bendal Interlude, Bow And Arrow, Bury Tomorrow, Chickenhawk, Deaf Havana, Failsafe, Firebug, Ghost Of A Thousand, InMe, Kellermensch, Me Vs. Hero, Rinoa, Tek One, Theworldonfire, While She Sleeps

Sonisphere Announce New Bands

Soulfly, Delain, Karnivool, Polar Bear Club, Heaven’s Basement, Bigelf, The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Turisas, Katatonia and The Union will all play the UK’s Sonisphere festival.

Also added to the festival is a comedy stage, which will feature stand up acts such as Sean Hughes, Tim Minchin, Andrew O’Neil and Jarred Christmas.

Europe, Therapy?, Alice In Chains, Lacuna Coil, Municipal Waste, Evile, Pendulum, Rise To Remain, Renegades, Terrorvision, Sick Of It All, Dir En Grey

More Bands Announced For Sonisphere

Skunk Anansie, Fightstar, Gallows, Funeral For A Friend, Madina Lake, Family Force 5 and Apocalyptica have been added to the line up for the UK’s Sonisphere festival in Knebworth.
