Just A Quick Update

Just thought I should give you guys a quick update on what’s going on right now with DN.

First off, I’m going to be bringing back the Ultimate Playlist, but with a few differences, I’m not 100% sure on how I’m going to do it, but it’s going to be done using Spotify. I’m looking into different ways of doing it, it may be adding a new song every week or a whole new playlist every week. If you have any ideas on how I should do it, tell me in a comment. Also, if you don’t have Spotify, I’d recommend you ask if any of your friend have any spare invites.

I’m also going to be adding some features to give DN readers more of a say. I’ll start using polls to get your opinions on things and see where that takes us. I’m also working on running some competitions through Twitter and Facebook as well as the main site. So follow DN on twitter (@DistNewsNet) and “like” us on Facebook (heres a link, or you could search DistortedNews, also, please invite your friends!)

A Quick Update

Over the next week and a half, DistortedNews will be running two very important features, first of all, the DN Awards 2009, which will be up around wednesday, featuring best album, best band and the coveted DN Hall Of Fame award, amonst others.

And after Christmas, it will be retrospective week, looking back at the best bits of the noughties, including a top 10 albums of the decade, and also DN favourites Warpath and 42 Seconds Later will tell you their albums of the decade.

Keep checking back for the biggest week and a half in DistortedNews (very short) history.

Restrospective Posts

Every now and then (if theres a lack of anything else to post) I will be looking back at bands and albums of yesteryear. Reviewing Classic albums and looking at fantastic bands who sadly got lost in the shuffle.

As you might have noticed, this is my first post on my brand spanking new blog, all about music and what not.

so if you like Metal, Rock, Alternative, Punk, Hippity Hop, Industrial, Prog… Anything (As long as it doesn’t suck) you’ll find all the latest news and reviews here. I’ll also be making retrospective posts, looking at bands, songs or albums from the past.
