Eminem – Recovery Review

Eminem is back with Recovery, the follow-up to 2008’s Relapse.

Relapse was Eminem’s return to making music, after a battle with addiction and the death of one of his best friends. It received mixed reactions due to its very dark outlook and its lack of stand out tracks.

Recovery is finally the return to form we have been waiting for.

First single Not Afraid was met with unanimous praise, with Em himself rapping about how Relapse was underwhelming and how he is back, clean and ready to take on the world once again.

Recovery features no skits, lame accents and few comedy tracks, what we have is seventeen straight up rap songs.

If you have even a passing interest in rap music, I suggest you get this album. It’s Eminem’s best yet and possibly the most entertaining rap album I’ve ever listened too.

Oh, and for all the metal fans, there’s a Black Sabbath sample.

Highlights: Talkin’ 2 Myself, Won’t Back Down, Not Afraid, Love The Way You Lie
